Assembling An ADR Improvement Toolkit for Your Practice

Assembling An ADR Improvement Toolkit for Your Practice
During this presentation Aasma Shaukat, MD, FASGE will present on assembling an adenoma detection rate (ADR) improvement toolkit for your practice. The idea of an ADR toolkit is to improve ADR in screening colonoscopies and should not be seen as a disciplinary tool. We must always strive to better ourselves and our peers for every patient, every time. While a toolkit is particularly helpful addressing providers not meeting the ADR benchmarks of 30% male and 20%, even if you are performing above the benchmarks, investing in improved ADR is worthwhile. Corley et al. demonstrated that each 1% increase in ADR was associated with a 3% decrease in the risk of interval colorectal cancer and a 5% decrease in the risk of fatal interval cancers.
