Advanced Practice Providers Visit From Clinical To Coding
Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) have become an essential part of the gastroenterology team and the delivery of gastroenterology services. The role of APPs continues to evolve in the both the outpatient clinic and inpatient hospital setting. This case-based presentation will review practical outpatient and inpatient cases as a teaching method to provide guidance in creating a quality gastroenterology note and enhance your knowledge in the field of coding. A question and answer session will follow this presentation.

• Describe a quality note and how to create a good quality note.
• Gain knowledge from analyzing two inpatient case studies from clinical to coding; assessing one case study for a new consult and one case study for a follow-up visit.
• Gain knowledge from analyzing two outpatient case studies from clinical to coding; assessing one case study for a new consult and one case study for a follow-up visit.
• Participate in a question and answer session to apply additional principles in your practice.
