ASGE STAR Certificate Program - Suturing

ASGE STAR Certificate Program - Suturing
Endoscopic Suturing is an invaluable skill for a therapeutic endoscopist. It facilitates defect closure and stent fixation, and with advanced techniques opens the window to endobariatric procedures. Suturing is an instrumental tool that expands our armamentarium to provide solutions for the complex challenging clinical problems that we grapple with on a daily basis. For these reasons, a course of developing endoscopic suturing skills from the ASGE is vital for endoscopists. Immediately following the live components, all participants will complete a post-test, as well as a one-on-one assessment of a standardized checklist of skills. The Certificate of Completion will be awarded to those in-person participants who meet the passing standard for both post-test and the assessment components. Enrollees will be invited to bring one tech or nurse to train with them for no additional registration fee.
